10. Community Conduct and Prohibited Activities
At MassDigitalJEDI.org, we are committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all users of our services. By accessing our website or participating in Digital JEDI Consortium programs and communications, you agree to engage in a manner that upholds the dignity and safety of others.
You agree not to engage in or attempt to engage in any activity that violates federal, state, or local laws, or that compromises the safety, accessibility, or welcoming nature of our services.
Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to:
- Harassment of any kind (including sexual, physical, verbal, or written)
- Bullying or intimidation of participants, staff, or volunteers
- Possessing or bringing unauthorized weapons into any Consortium-supported space or event
- Use, possession, or distribution of illegal substances while accessing our services
- Stalking, voyeurism, indecent exposure, or other invasive behavior
- Unauthorized solicitation, panhandling, or gambling
- Entering Consortium-supported services or locations after being suspended or removed
- Blocking pathways, entrances, or exits with personal belongings
- Leaving personal property unattended in shared spaces
- Refusing to exit during emergencies or when requested to leave by staff
Violations of these conduct guidelines may result in immediate suspension or permanent termination of access to our services. We reserve the right to report unlawful activities to the appropriate authorities.
Refurbished Laptop Disclaimer
All refurbished laptops provided through the Digital JEDI Consortium are inspected and tested by certified technicians to ensure full functionality. Each laptop includes:
- Windows 11
- A valid Microsoft Office product key
- Minimum 256GB SSD and 8GB RAM
While fully functional, laptops may show signs of previous use, including:
- Minor cosmetic imperfections (e.g., scratches, paint wear)
- Visible wear on keyboards or touchpads
Every laptop comes with a 3-month warranty, and batteries are guaranteed to be in Good working condition.
Community members are welcome to test laptops on-site with assistance from our Digital Navigators, who can also help install software or configure devices to personal preference.
